Client Dress Code

It is very important that our clients arrive on time and act respectfully while at the courthouse, especially in the courtroom.  The impression made by someone’s appearance and manners can have a direct impact on a person’s credibility and potentially the outcome of a case.  So, of course, we want our clients to dress and look professional.  The key is to appear trustworthy and credible.

For formal hearings and trials, if a suit is available, wear it.  For scheduled court appearances that do not include a formal hearing, or if you do not have a suit, we ask clients to adhere to the following dress code:

GENTLEMEN: A white (or other light-colored), buttoned down shirt, tie, and slacks.

LADIES: A nice blouse and either a nice skirt or slacks.

SHOES:  It is best to wear appropriate shoes to match your attire.  Conservative dress shoes are recommended.
